7 Facts About Mount PRAU

For novice climbers including me, Mount Prau fits into your choice because this mountain is a mountain has an altitude of 2565 meters above sea level and has a cool scene. With this makes novice climbers will surely be attracted again to climb other mountains with great views yag more cool and have a height of more again.

Prau mountain is the highest peak in the area of Dieng. Situated in the mountain in central Java province elongated shape covering five administrative regions, namely Wonosobo, Banjarnegara, Batang, Kendal and Temanggung District.

Mount Prau famous sights in special peak with a hike in the middle of the night, set up tents and wait sunrice. Why is it special? Because of the mountain top we can see the Prau 8 pieces of the mountain that is on the right we can see the landscape of Mount Kembang, Mount Sindoro, Cleft Mountain, Mount Merapi, Merbabu, Lawu, Telomoyo Mountains and Mount Ungaran.

1. Mount Prau a protected forest area managed by PT Perhutani, not a national park or conservation area managed by the Directorate General of Nature Conservation under the Ministry of Environment and Forestry. So the climbers buy entry ticket not SIMAKSI (Permit Login Conservation Area)
2. Thousands of climbers who visit the Mount Prau more than 90% of them never reached its peak at an altitude of 2590 m above sea level.
3. Most of the climbers of Mount Prau home with souvenirs of the photo, not an image of Mount Prau but a photo of two mountain neighbors, Sindoro.
4. Mountaineering Prau can be achieved from the two points, the first point is from the post Dieng, while the second point is from patak banteng village.
5. Mount Prau located in Central Java and were in Kendal district, Temanggung, Wonosobo, and Rod, and Banjarnegara.
6. Elktronik media and online media still often refer Mount Prau  with Mount Dieng.
7. Periodically Mount Prau closed every year for ecosystem restoration on January 5 to April 5.
